Here you can find a list of things we recommend you take with you.

Please review this list before beginning your trip.
  • Passport (for those arriving from outside the EU) or ID card.
  • Rubber boots — please wash them with a hot salt‑water solution before leaving your country. This is important to prevent the spread of diseases among amphibians.
  • Refillable water bottle — tap water is drinkable in Estonia.
  • Be prepared for any kind of weather, as the temperature may vary from 5°C to 25°C. It can be windy, rainy, and/or sunny. Suncream and sunglasses might be a good idea. Also a raincoat and a warm under layer
  • There might be an opportunity for a quick dip during the Kikepera hike, so those who are interested should pack their swimwear.
  • During the trip to Lavassaare participants are kindly asked to wear a high‑visibility safety vest. If you have one, please bring it along. We’ll also have some spare vests available.
  • To avoid or reduce the risk of picking up ticks on hiking trails, using repellent is recommended.
Gloves for the volunteer work are given by us but your clothes could get a bit peaty during the work.
